Plant & Moss

Luxury-contemporary homeware, furniture and lifestyle products

Plant & Moss is a creative industrial design studio. We produce our own collection of homeware and lifestyle products all handmade in Great Britain.

Mixing traditional with contemporary thought, we design for longevity through narrative, interaction and material exploration. We also work with leading retailers, collaborators and manufacturers.

Design Descends on London

For those of you who have attended in the past, you will know that London Design Festival (LDF) is fast approaching. LDF is where London celebrates all that is design, showcasing the worlds most creative design brands, houses and individuals.

First launched in 2003, and now with over 280 events and exhibitions appearing all over the city, the festival has become one of the world’s most important design spectacles. This September is your chance to absorb what Britain, and the rest of the world, has to offer in the way of contemporary, creative design.

Shoreditch the ‘Hotspot’

Shoreditch, surely the most vibrant and creative ‘hotspot’ of design during the festival, will again be hosting the acclaimed Tramshed. The Tramshed, launched for the first time last year, will be returning to 32 Rivington Street. Occupying the wonderful post-industrial building that the event takes its name from, the building will house work from renowned international talents, to the best of British. Originally an electricity generating power station dating from 1905, it poses an inspiring venue in which to enjoy the best of design.

Supported by the Society of British Interior Design the event allows the opportunity for Architects, Interior Designers, Buyers and the Press to meet premium brands and see their work up close.

This year Plant & Moss will join the prestigious list of exhibitors that includes: Aesop, Autoban, Bocci, Benjamin Hubert, De Vorm, Mitab, Matthew Hilton, Soren Rose Studio and Studioilse.

Plant & Moss 2011 Collection

Plant & Moss will be showing their first collection, which contrasts traditionally crafted pieces made from natural materials with reappropriated, industrially manufactured objects. With an aim to create products that will become heirlooms, passed on from generation to generation, in a response to the tide of disposable culture. The desire for quality is back! A focus on ‘improve, not move’ encourages people to reinvest in their homes and to select quality everyday items and furniture. We would like to invite you to join us this Setember (22nd-25th) at the wonderful Tramshed 2011 For further information visit our Tramshed 2011 Event page or and London Design Festival

Seminars at the Tramshed

The Tramshed 2011 will also be hosting a Seminar Series that will feature presentations and discussions from designers, journalists and entrepreneurs on some of the most pertinent issues in the design world today. Conducted by Sam Grawe, the series promises to engage, challenge and entertain both trade and public alike. For more information on exhibitors and full event listings CLICK HERE
